Timila Yami Thapa
Professor Timila Yami Thapa, Nepal’s first women professor to teach Computer Engineering courses in Nepal, has had a distinguished career spanning over 35 years at the Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk. A pioneering educator, policy planner, and entrepreneur, she spearheaded Nepal’s first Computer Engineering program and played key roles in national ICT policy. Recognized with the first Women Icon ICT Award Nepal 2020, she continues to drive IT education, industry growth, and digital empowerment.
