Sunaina Ghimire Pandey

Ms. Sunaina Ghimire Pandey is a known persona in the field of Information and Communication Technology in Nepal. She has an experience of over 25 years in this field as she started her journey in 1998 as a programmer and an instructor. Currently she is leading as Managing Director of General Technology Pvt. Ltd. a leading Fintech company of Nepal. She has also another hat of Chairperson at Space Tech Office Automation Pvt. Ltd. She has worked as an Assistant General Manager of a Multinational Company called Tech One Global Nepal. She worked as Managing Director in Nepal's first Nepali ICT Magazine "Cyber Sanchar", which was available in 67 districts in Nepal. As a Project Coordinator she has contribute on Series of Microsoft Operating System & Application Localization. Where she was responsible for the Localization Project of Microsoft Operating System “Windows XP” and Microsoft Office Application “Microsoft Office 2003” for its first time develop in the Nepali Language which was launched by Microsoft in February 2006. In 2005 she moved to sales and marketing as Microsoft Account Manager and in 2007 she leads Microsoft Partnership for Technology Access (PTA) program as a Business Development Manager for Nepal.

Talking about the Nepalese IT Standardization she has contributed in creating the first Nepali Spell Checker Engine, Nepali Keyboard Layout, Nepali IT Glossary, Corpus, Style Book and Character Code in collaboration with various government organizations. The Nepali Keyboard Layout, Style Book and Character Code was endorsed by Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology as a "Standard" on 2005. She has been associated with the social sector as General Secretary in FIT Nepal in development initiatives on creating technology-mediated frameworks for rural e-service and tele-center. She has also served as a Member, in the Nepali Language in Information Technology Committee under High-Level Commission for IT (HLCIT) of Nepal Government. She has been in the post of Vice President of the Federation of Computer Association Nepal (CAN Federation) from 2017 onwards. She has established the Women ICT committee on her leadership under CAN Federation on 2013. She has served as a member in Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs' Associations of Nepal, where she has contributed in developing e-commerce portal called "Winbiz" for women Entrepreneur to sale there Made in Nepal product thru online within Nepal and abroad. She has also served in international voluntary organization known as Open Knowledge Network of One World South Asia (OWSA), the UK based organization. She has collected a lot of experiences in over 25 years of working in this field of ICT in different organizations, at different levels.
